Reading about writing

If you've been following me here on the blog, you'll have read by now that I'm taking a long-term writing course to improve my fiction and non-fiction work. I finished my assignment last week and decided not to do anything else because my brain was fried. I knew that I had to read "On Writing Well" as part of the course requirement. I had seen the book before at Barnes & Noble and other bookstores, but was never interested in it. It's a thirty year old book about writing. What could Zinsser teach me now about writing that would still be relevant after all those years? A lot apparently. I'm already on the second chapter, closing in on the third. Note to Writers - What writing-related books are you reading now? Skyraven
